Sex IN the City =)

Temperature hit 90 Fs (32.333 Celsius) today..
and boy was it HOT!!

So after a round of Nasi Goreng Pemalas (memang pemalas la) we all settled on the couch attempting to watch Day of the Dead. After many chain screams and "ew.. Gross!"s, some disruption by Feeza's K-Drama Series Princess Lulu, we sadly did not finish the movie due to slow loading.

Dinner time! A scrumptious meal of ayam dan kentang masak kicap, and sayur goreng belacan was served! And as we ate, we found out what Feeza's heaven was..
Sighs, how nice... So easy for her to feel heavenly... =P
All she needs is to be surrounded by chicken. Edible, cooked, chicken! and she'll be in heaven.

Lazing around after dinner, we headed out for a movie.
A movie, far too explicit than we ever bargained for.
Alina: Throughout the whole movie, I felt sooooo uncomfortable.
Saf: Was the movie title Sex IN the City?
Intan: I was going to gloat to my sister that I watched Sex and the City, But I guess not now.
However, as always there are 2 sides of a review. =D
Jeya: That was an A++++++... movie! It was so good, lets watch it again!
So you wonder why they're not screening this movie in Malaysia! ;) We love our censorship board.

Made a trip to Walmart and after lots of
"lets get out of here before we fill up the cart even more," and
"NO! No Icecream!" and
"Cashier! Cashier now!"
we made it out with our little list of groceries and much more, as usual =P

WHAT???!!!!! The movie won't be shown here in Msia??!!! Dammit!! AHAHAHAHHAHA

I've been driving for, hmm. let's see, more than 400 miles already? I never knew driving could ever be boring.

I miss Elysee. So so much. Glad everyone is still eating. like normal. hihihi..Don't worry people. I'm munching my way across the country too. Everytime I feel sleepy when I'm on the wheel. I'll start looking for Lays or Dorito's. (wish my dad would buy something healthier). Yeah yeah, blame it on people. LOL. Hopefully we're still in the same boat. And I'll buy some Herhey's chocolates for you guys. *mischievous grin

It's the current (and repeated berbanyak kali) playing song!
okay, maybe it's 3 months too early to have such a title.
But it's the 1st day after a couple of quiet ones that everyone's back home, chilling together.

- We started off the day with some Cereal, Yogurt, Roti Bakar with Nutella/Butter/Peanut Butter. (I swear, if Freshmen 15 hasn't happen, Summer 15 is going to. =/)

- A trip to Walgreens and Pantry for some groceries was made.
On a random note, do you know how unpopular Sardines is around here?!? Hmm, we've gotta make that WalMart trip soon!

- Feeza made us some telur dadar and cabbage (Sedap!) and we ate lunch in front of a laptop watching "How to lose a guys in 10 days"

- Especially for you is blasting in the background for the fifth time and counting... (saf: Can I ulang lagi?!)

- We're all on our laptops, randomly making plans for some workout at CRCE, suggestions for Lopop to cook us dinner as we turn his house upside down with his Rock Band set,

- Feeza's whining in the background as each minute passes and her class time looms closer!

- Saf's baking cup cakes on the floor, with random bursts of exclamations and screams of 'tertumpah!'

- Asma's on the couch watching her J-Dramas

- Intan's working on her Astro homework while stating how she's too lazy to go out to complete it with her classmate.

- Alina's at work at Siebl Center

- Ainul's driving away from a Hershey's Factory in Pennsylvania.

- Nadiah should be soundly sleeping off her jet lag, without Dimitri!!

What happened to...

good 'ol times when you just wanna stay at home and do nothing??
Maybe it's the quiet-ness of the place or the emptiness of the house; *starts figuring out who has that extra TV set* it just feels too bored to stay at home all day long.

Intan, Saf, and I spent our day at Market Place shopping for some work clothes for me. So much for not having much cash, my hands feel so itchy looking at the clothes and their prices. But yes, that's why you have 2 good friends with you, who keep you focus on task at hand, and from straying, (though we're not so good when it comes to the temptations of food =D and I'm still thinking of the cute lil turtle pillow...) Bergayut-ed on the telephone with Ainul, while her family went shopping at some outlet in Buffalo, on the bus ride home.

Armed with a newly bought Crazy Taxi PS2 game, some ma la fish and Thai seafood special takeout from Cravings, we randomly headed over to Teda's for the night for some video games and TV. 5.5 hours later, we made our way back home with an extra frying pan in hand. (finally!)
It actually felt nice to come home to people =), I've actually not seen Asma for more than a day!!

PS: Nadiah, dah sampai ke belum? dropkan-la kita orang a line? =/

Soooo sorry guys, i lupe AT&T tak der roaming so I was phonelineless by the time i hit Taipei. ;( Anyway, please always ALWAYS update this blog k?? you have nooo idea how convenient it is especially since I'm not there to share the struggle of coping with food temptations! hhahaha okay, i tengah jet lag gile ni...i wana sleep!! *bye bye is blasting at the background* ;P

Nadiah, I think the people in Ohio like that Bye Bye song of yours la. I think ad ala dalam 5 6 kali that song was on the radio while I was driving trhough Ohio.

Another Quiet Day

Woke up this morning to find the house empty.
Well, sort of.

Intan and Asma left for class.
Feeza was still asleep.
Wenli went to the Cosmopolitan Club for some clean up thing right after she woke up.

Nadiah, we miss you already.
Alina, wherefore art thou Alina?

Must have been quite a sight...

for Shafiqah's mum to wake up to the sight of 4 girls sleeping in the living room, with Saf sprawled out on the comfy couch, Ainul on the floor wrapped up in her comforter beside the couch, Nadiah hugging Dimitri sleeping soundly on the floor, and Wenli curled up in the 1 seater.

and so we bade another round of goodbyes this chilly morning. If we thought leaving for MidWest was a bad enough separation, maybe we'll all put on a couple of pounds with all the munching we do to get over this lil bump of 'depression' the goodbyes are doing us.

Ainul left on her trip with her family at 6.30 am, while I struggle to get Nadiah up to catch her flight. ;) The usual pre-departure dilly dally ensued, and the supposed departure time from Elysee got pushed an hour back to 830am in Jeya's very nice and comfy car.
After unsuccessful scanning of passports, repacking of over weight baggages, falling of baskets and stuck luggage at the security check point, passing on of wise advices, Intan's rendition of "Touch My Body"; we're now down to 7.

* This is for my people who just lost somebody, your best friend, your baby, your man, or your lady, put your hand way up high, cuz we will never say BYE! that's right girls, I miss you guys terribly but thank god for this blog, I almost feel as though I'm still with you guys. I'm safely back now, hugged everything in the house that huggable for you guys too, ate everything thats edible for you guys too...HAHAHAHA will skype soon! xoxo*

And at this moment, Nadiah's asleep at Detroit Airport, hopefully she'll not miss her connecting flight home! =P (I wanted to sleep but somebody kept me awake the whole time, I'm pretty sure you guys know who ;P)

Of Aches, Sores, and scars...

So we've put a full stop to MidWest Games 2008 @ SIU, Carbondale.
and now we're dealing with the aftermath:

THE ACHES and the lack of sleep. (Which Saf did well by proving. =P)

But hey, looking back at the experience it was a pretty eventful one (in more ways than one). Sweat, laughed, cried, survived new age hunger (to a point that Saf started munching on 3 packets of ketchup!), been grumpy, bled, chilled, renewed friendships and made new ones, tornado evacuation, and most importantly had fun. Though, sangat sayang that we didn't take much pictures for memories!!
Ohoh! Not to forget to congratulate ourselves on our achievements! ;) Great job girls!

Gee, i cant wait for the next midwest games! *sarcastically*
Dah la it MIGHT be held in UIUC. haha

So here we all are. Sitting on the couch. Doing absolutely nothing..again.. (except being on Craig's AGAIN!) Waiting for the unwanted future..the dark and gloomy hours to surface..where silence will fill the halls of this house..that time when everybody naik van and pergi SIU.....and tinggal I sorg sampai petang esok :(

YES, You guys will miss moi!

Cheer up guys. We're gonna rock the fields, especially in soccer cz we're all in it ! AND BASKETBALL. And volleyball and in pingpong and in everything.

Goodbyes exist and we can't do much about it. The best thing to do is accept it with an open heart and think about the many good people we will meet later in life. Yes, we get attached and yes, it is sad. But look at it this way, if we didn't leave our friends back in Malaysia to come here, we wouldn't have found each other. So, HOLD YOUR HEAD UP HIGH BACK AGAIN!

It's 9.52 am,

This morning,

I woke up
What I saw - to the normal sight of Asma getting ready early to go to class.
* Doodled around on the bed, played music on my cell ( tercipta untukku by ungu - i didn't know what kind of jiwang-ness got to me this morning).

Walked out of the room.
What I saw - the not so unusual sight of Nadiah on the couch (she claims it's her bed now) and Asma studying. (haha and in turn, I would always half wake up before my official time of waking up (12 oclock) cuz u people are always up and about before that. Chillax la weii....try golek2 on the bed, yes Saf is smart for daydreaming first. hehe)
* checked out the kitchen (as expected)

Went out for a walk with Intan
What I saw - Intan on the bicycle
* I say - I thought you said you never want to get on the bike again
* Intan replied - I think I got acquainted to it.

p/s - trust me. The bike is a bully. I rode it for 20minutes and 1. I almost fell of the bike. 2. The bike fell on top of me 3. My hand hit the bike's handle 4. My butt hurts so bad.

Sheesh, think everyone in the house has been complaining bout the bike. Think I'll try it today and see if it's a bully to me. I doubt it though ;P

Went down to see who else is awake.
What I saw - Saf sitting on her bed, daydreaming.

New Pastime!

Yay! We' ve found a new pastime...
dang! more time hugging the laptop =P

warming this summer house

So...
it's already been a week since we moved into this awesome and lovely house.

And...
we're still not done buying groceries and stuff for the house yet. The food seems to be depleting at a very fast rate. ( thanks to all of us)

But...
We had an awesome housewarming event yesterday. Lots and lots of food *grins. We had soto ayam, char kuey teow, fried rice, vegetables with mushroom cooked Wenli's style, Nadiah's famous cheesecake, chocolate chip cookies, fruit pudding and the list goes on. Took 7 girls to get everything ready. Nadiah and Wenli started the night before. Saf and me started in the morning. Intan and Asma joined us in the afternoon. By noon, the kitchen just got too small for all of us. Except for those occasional times when Nadiah had to open the oven.

Nadiah says: Alright. I'm taking out the cookies out of the oven. It's very hot. Everyone! Move!

* And suddenly, the kitchen went empty for a while.

Well, that was the only time.

Overcrowded kitchen, you were saying?

By 3pm, almost all the food were nicely done. People started filling the room. Isa came barging in screaming "SPOT CHECK!!!" and made his way down the stairs. I should have expected that. LOL.

We got a lot of compliments for the delicious food and the gorgeous house. Good job girls. =).
